Its epistemological foundations are taken from M. Porter Theory of Competitive Advantage and B. Balassa Theory of Economic Integration and focus mainly on the competitiveness concept.</p><p>The choice of multicriteria decision making (MCDM) method “Electre-tri”, presentation of criteria families and simulation of the MIREM by means of an analogue model are presented in order to assess the adequacy of the multicriteria methodology to the problematic of integration.</p></abstract><kwd-group><label>Keywords</label><kwd>economic integration</kwd><kwd>competitive advantage</kwd><kwd>multicriteria methodology</kwd><kwd>industrial policy</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front></article>
